Pregnancy yoga is an opportunity to take time to focus on your pregnancy and practice breathing, movement and relaxation techniques so you can prepare your body and mind for birth and beyond.

My classes help you plan for a positive birth experience using the latest evidence based research because regardless of whether you are planning for a c-section, vaginal birth, hospital birth, home birth, drug-free birth or plan to use all the drugs…I am here to support it all!

Breath, move, relax

My pregnancy classes follow the FEDANT and Yoga Alliance accredited LushTums method, encouraging you to go for the positive birth experience that’s right for you.

Breath techniques help you through pregnancy, labour and birth while movements can help your baby into a good position for birth and relieve common pregnancy ailments. Take some precious time out from the busyness of life to relax and connect with yourself and your baby.

“The mix of movement, stretching, breathing, gentle strengthening, and relaxation is a really good combination – it hits all the right spots.”

Empowered pregnancy

My classes encourage you to explore all your options for pregnancy and birth so that you are comfortable making informed decisions using the latest research available. Researching your options throughout pregnancy can also help you to be more at ease with the thought of giving birth, releasing fear and anxieties.

“Giving birth should be your greatest achievement not your greatest fear.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s some more information on my pregnancy classes but if there’s anything you don’t see answered please do not hesitate to contact me.

How soon can I attend pregnancy yoga?

I recommend to start from 15 weeks but if you have been quite active pre-pregnancy or have a regular yoga practice already please get in touch to discuss options.

I’m 35 weeks pregnant, is it too late to start classes?

It is never to late to start practicing pregnancy yoga, each class gives you the chance to connect with your body and prepare for birth and in my view this is beneficial all the way up to due date and beyond – we have had women practicing at 41.5 weeks!

Where are the classes?

Pregnancy yoga takes place every Tuesday evening at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne, 7:45 – 9:00pm.

What is the cost?

Classes are available on a pay as you go basis or you can sign up for 5 or 10 class passes:

  • Pay as you go: £13
  • 5 Class Pass: £60 (Valid for 6 weeks)
  • 10 Class Pass: £110 (Valid for 12 weeks)

What should I bring?

Please bring a yoga mat, a cushion to sit on and a blanket.

“Wonderful pregnancy yoga. Going every week helps me feel calm and in control for my upcoming birth. Jenna takes the time every session to understand any areas of concern for people which we can then work on in the session. I always sleep very well after too!”
